The General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises (Monsha'at) and the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) have announced that 100 companies from various continents have qualified for the finals of the Entrepreneurship World Cup in Riyadh, which is part of the Biban 24 Forum, scheduled to be held from November 5 to 9.
The competition is one of the largest and most comprehensive of its kind, attracting tens of thousands of entrepreneurs from 200 countries who compete annually for cash prizes totaling $1 million.
The top 100 companies, representing 52 countries, will compete in the finals during the Biban 24 Forum after months of national and regional qualifiers, global group selections, and a training camp for the top 250 companies. The competition offers cash prizes in three categories: idea-stage companies (10 companies), startup-stage companies (62 companies), and growth-stage companies (28 companies). Additionally, founders will compete in specialized categories, including health, the future economy, energy and industrial leadership, and sustainable environment and basic needs provision.
The finalist companies will have the opportunity to explore Saudi Arabia's evolving startup landscape, enabling them to seek market entry opportunities. In recent years, the Kingdom's entrepreneurial ecosystem has experienced significant growth, with record increases in venture capital investments.
The Biban 24 Forum aims to position Saudi Arabia as a leading destination for entrepreneurs regionally and globally, support the growth and competitiveness of entrepreneurial ventures, and stimulate entrepreneurship.
